Nuventive Improve

Watermark Planning & Self-Study has replaced Nuventive Improve. Nuventive will remain operational should the University’s assessment leads and contributors need to retrieve historical assessment reports. However, direct support from Nuventive Improvement will not be available.

 

Brief Overview of Nuventive Improve Reporting

Nuventive Improve can now be accessed through single-sign on:

  • At this site – select the blue button, bottom right, which reads “More Applications”
  • At this site -  “Faculty-Staff Applications, A-Z”, select “N” and the Nuventive Improve application will pop-up.  You will use your J number and Password to enter the application.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are trying to access Nuventive Improve through VPN –  you must have requested access to Nuventive Improve on your original VPN request.  A new VPN request will be required to add Nuventive Improve to your VPN access.

If you need new VPN access - email Computer Services. The IT help desk will also lead you to the correct application VPN application site.

To create/edit an assessment plan

  1. You may access the Assessment Plan from the Home screen, Assessment Unit Planning Summary, by clicking Intended Outcomes or Assessment Methods.  Or from the left navigation, click on Assessment Unit Planning>Assessment Plan.
  2. To add a new intended outcome, click the green plus button by Intended Outcomes and enter the following information:
    1. Intended outcome name
    2. Intended outcome statement
    3. Outcome year
    4. Outcome status
  3. Click on the save button, located on the top right side of the page.
  4. Click by the Intended Outcome if you want make changes to an existing outcome.
  5. To add a new assessment method, click the green plus button by Assessment Methods and enter the following information:
    1. Assessment Method Category
    2. Brief description of the assessment method
    3. Criterion
    4. Schedule
  6. Click by the assessment method to make changes to an existing method.  If the method is no longer active, uncheck the Active? box located at the top of the screen.
  7. Click on the save button,  located on the top right side of the page.
    Please note:  If you need to change a criterion associated with a method, inactivate the method and create a new method with a new criterion. 
  8. To link an intended outcome to a performance indicator, click on Mapping> Intended Outcomes (left navigation).  Intended outcome statements are listed across the top and performance indicators are listed on the left side of the screen. 
    From the pull-down menu on the top, left side, select the summary group.  For each intended outcome, link performance indicators by clicking on the appropriate box.  You may link an intended outcome to more than one goal. Repeat the process for each summary group listed. 
  9. To print an assessment plan, click on Reports (left navigation).
    1. Click on Assessment: Assessment Plan
    2. Select current outcome status
    3. Click open report located at the top right side of the screen.

To enter results

  1. You may access Assessment Results from the Home screen, Assessment Unit Planning Summary, by clicking on the Results, Use of Results or Follow-up.  Or from the left navigation, click on Assessment Unit Planning>Results.
  2. To add a new result, click the green plus button by the appropriate intended outcome and assessment method and complete the following:
    1. Add a result statement which ties back to the criterion
    2. Select Result Type
      1. Criterion met
      2. Criterion not met
      3. Inconclusive
    3. Select Result Trend
      1. Action planning
      2. Monitoring
    4. Add a Use of Results
    5. Add Follow-up to report on the implementation of the action plan
  3. Click on the save button,  located on the top right side of the page
  4. To print assessment results, click on Reports (left navigation).
    1. Click on Assessment: Assessment Four Column Report
    2. Select current outcome status
    3. Enter result dates
    4. Click open report located at the top right side of the screen
