The University of South Alabama operates and maintains three Human Resources (HR) offices under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, Human Resources.

HR is one of the central administrative support departments that serves the University, the USA HealthCare Management, LLC, and the University of South Alabama Health Care Authority. The department provides central support for HR staff policies, recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits.

The main campus office handles staff recruitment for the main campus colleges, departments and programs, the Mitchell Cancer Institute, USA Springhill Campus and the Baldwin County Campus.

The Medical Center HR office handles staff recruitment at the USA Medical Center.

The Children's and Women's Hospital HR office handles staff recruitment at USA Children's and Women's Hospital.

The University of South Alabama publishes certain crime statistics each year as required by the Jeanne Clery Act. This report is required by federal law and contains policy statements and crime statistics for the school. The policy statements address the school's policies, procedures and programs concerning safety and security. Three years' worth of statistics are included for certain types of crimes that were reported to have occurred on campus, in or on off-campus buildings and property owned or controlled by the school and on public property immediately adjacent to the campus.
